Upgrade shelix head worth it!

I had the opportunity to purchase an 8” Transpower Reliant Jointer at an auction for $200.00. Worked this past week and got it all cleaned up and the bed cleaned and waxed. I installed a new shelix head from Byrd Tool today. Wow! I am impressed. I had a piece of curly quarter-sawn white oak that jointed slick with no tear out and dead on square. It was really pretty straight forward to install. I ordered it with the bearing installed. Thank-you Byrd Tool for great service and a quality product.
