Some of the stuff that I have seen is a non-yellowing acrylic coating that is supposed to be UV resistant. YMMV

I always figured that it must be pretty much the same stuff that is used on pre-finished hardwood flooring although YMMV. I know that some of the floor finishes are pretty much indestructible under normal circumstances.

JL, I don’t think UV would be an issue inside a cabinet. I’m guessing this must be using a UV cursing process, which has low or no VOCs and a very quick cure .

Hmmm.  Still not clear.  Mr Tindall perhaps?

The stuff I've seen says that it is UV resistant and non-yellowing - and it is on the exterior as well as the interior of the plywood.

As far as a UV curable finishes - they are out there. A friend who is a luthier (if that's the appropriate term for someone who makes guitars) uses UV curable finishes. He has a "light box" in which he places the guitar after he sprays on the coating. I am uncertain as to their chemistry.

I’ve used some of the menards stuff for shop projects, but I wouldn’t use it for finished cabinets, only because I don’t prefer wood colored that light. The finish is rock hard and resistant to scratches.

It creates ceramic-like chips when dimensioned using a circular saw. Wear gloves when handling or your hands will suffer a thousand tiny cuts you will discover the first time you wash up.
