installing glass

I'm making a shallow wall hung display cabinet to be hung between two windows about 13 " between the casings. I've made the sides to put a 3 x22 " piece of glass in and I want to know if there is any adhesive that would be good to bed the glass in without having to make small strips to install with brads. The stiles are 5/8 x 7/8 and I plan to make a 3/16 rabbet for the glass.
Clear silicone caulk.

Clear silicone here also. Lay the frame on the bench face down; apply a bead; drop the glass in, then run a bead around on top, and leave it overnight to cure.

I agree with the silicone, but suggest just a few tiny drops. Easier to clean up if the glass ever has to be replaced.
