OT- Photos and Pbone

Maybe I have too much sawdust between the ears!!
Yesterday I took a pho of a router base that I want to post on Facebook Market Place. When I start writing the ad it only allows me to get the photo from Gallery but whenever I take pics they go to Google Photos.
Any idea what I am doing wrong?
BTW it is an Android phone.

Normally, when you take a picture with your Android phone the image should be available in the 'Gallery' to upload to FB or whatever.
Depending on your setup images from the 'Gallery' are uploaded (or backed up to) Google photos. As far as I know you can't direct link to images you have in Google photos.
If the photos are on Google photos and not in the Gallery, then maybe you have an option to delete from the Gallery once uploaded to Google photos(?) .
