Band saw tires

Yesterday I was having trouble changing blades. Once I got the blade on I couldn't get it to run right. I found the urethane tire had shrunk and was about a quarter inch smaller than the channel. It had moved to different sides along the circumference. I brought it in to warm it and moved the tire all to one side but doubt that's going to work for long.
Has anyone experienced this shrinkage in width?
I did order a set of Blue Max Ultra Duty replacements. Hope I don't have the same problem with them.
