Target EMtech 6500

I've written before about doing kitchen cab doors with a SW urethane paint. I was recommended this product which is tintable and delivery is very quick. I would appreciate comments on this. I will be using a Fuji 4 stage hvlp. Don't have a ton of experience with waterbase so could use some suggestions on that too. Do you think this is a good product to use. Thanks Howard

I have sprayed everything that I've made (that gets sprayed) with the 6000 series clears. I have two tinted (white and black), but haven't used them yet, so I can't comment too much.
Never had an issue with the EM6000 clear types, though (I think my go-to is probably semi-gloss). Cross linker if you want it to be hard, none if you don't.
Spray light coats relatively often, and you can do an initial wet sand the next day if you want to see if you've got enough finish on a workpiece before the finish has cured fully.
durability has been good for me - especially with crosslinker. No problem on cabinets or guitars taking dents and flaking finish or anything.
if you like to lay things flat and flood coat them, be mindful that it's still water and not solvent. I got in a rush at one point in the past laying a flood coat over paint (on a refinished desk top), and the paint loosened due to the fact that it couldn't tolerate being soaked until the finish dried. Repaint and some discretion and the next effort was fine.
If you have a good gun and lay down light coats, it may not need much after-spray attention unless you're looking for perfection.

I am a relative novice at spraying finishes and have managed great results with Target's products, including their lacquers, both clear and tinted (which you are referencing), their polyurethane, and their conversion varnish (which needs to be laid down a little thicker than most spay coatings).
I use a compressor and an inexpensive SprayIt 33000 LVLP gun. Pretty straightforward with any of their products - which are sprayable from the can.
