Half blind it doesn't matter. Any reasonable bit would do - though I would choose a dovetail bit with a larger angle if you are doing pine or another soft wood.
The "longest" bit that I've seen is a 1" bit. I have heard of ones that are 2", but I haven't seen one and have no idea where you might find one.

What is the actual board thickness, 1 1/2" or 2"? Keller sells 1 1/4" CL. So you can rabbet the end of the board and use a shorter bit. If you only have a few, cut them by hand. Otherwise it will be hundreds of dollars for a jig and bit. $469 for the Keller bit dovetail jig and bits.
