Tom,

I owned two of them when I had my school. They are built very well but have limited use. Perhaps a box maker using small pieces would find them handy, but I never found anything they done better or easy. I sold mine and put the dollars into a Perfomax

I have a Perfomarx and somewhere along the way saw a SandFlea (I think) and it appears to be similar to the FlatMaster. Same concept anyway. I made a Saddle" that sat on top of my Perfomrax with the hood open. I could hook up the hose form underneath. Used it to sand things like table legs that were tapered. Got so little use out of it I have not thought about it in years.

Sorry about the spelling, my computer is acting up and the curser has a mind of it's own and won't sit still long enough to make a correction. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a 30” flat master. I bought the drum and built the box. It certainly not as handy for long pieces as a Performax etc. it is far cheaper. At 30” I can set up two different grits side by side. You can finesse a piece that is warped on both sides like using a jointer. It was a matter of cost for sanding panels, mainly.
