OT - cement "channel"

I've been address canvassing for the 2020 Census.
In my travels, I have seen an interesting driveway "feature".
It basically resembles a cinder block or cement block in texture.
It is a long "U" shaped channel w/ the "U" being about 2-3" W. The individual blocks are about 16" long. So they are set across the driveway to channel water from one side to another.
Does anyone know what they are called? And where to get them?

Cement "U" drain block with lip. A cast iron grate fits in the insert and is strong and flush with the surface of the drive. Labor intensive to install, but can carry gallons per minute away. Really a good solution if the driveway is concrete or asphalt and downhill. Flood /snow melt relief if you have a place to direct the collected runoff. Easy to clean with broom on surface and, if needed, can be power washed to dump mud, crumpled leaves, etc. maybe once a year.
