Impressed with Domino

I am building a sideboard or sofa table for a friend. The legs run past a sub-top and support the top. I had four posts sticking up vertically. They are about 2" by 1 1/2". Attached the top with two Dominoes in each post. In about thirty minutes I cut Eight mortises in the legs and eight matching ones in the top. The good news is they matched, the top went right on perfectly. All of them were cut on the narrow setting. This is an impressive tool.

My son wanted a big workbench for his garage. We got together planed it out, then went to work. The top was made from 4 12' 2x8's out of Doug Fir that were "straightened" with a hand planer and a couple of shooting boards. We then set them up and put a domino every 8". That top came out dead flat with little or no gaps in the joints, glued with light pressure from 4 pipe clamps. The 1/2" dominos aligned and held the registration on 2x stock precisely.
