New jig saw?

The local library would like some endcaps for the shelves in the children's section.
I was thinking about making them semicircular. I could of course saw circles with my band saw.
My existing jig saw was inherited from my stepfather and has more years on it than I care to think about. It is an old Craftsman that has seen better days.
I usually use my band saw for cutting curves and circles - but I could see a use for having a better jig saw.
Recommendations?

I very much like my PC bayonet saw. It won't do bevel cuts, but the vs and orbital action make cutting various materials rather easy.

love my Festool! cuts 4” material straight cuts veneer plywood chip free. expensive but sure is nice.

Both are very fine jigsaws. If you wallet can handle the hit of the 572 than that would be my first choice however I doubt if you'd be disappointed at all with the 470.

It's hard to go wrong with a good brand, Bosch, Makita, Milwaulkee, Hitachi, etc. For a jig saw I bought a Makita and love it.
