Popular Woodworking hasn't closed. At least, not yet (and, hopefully, not at all). However, Pop Wood's parent company F+W Media has filed for bankruptcy protection under Chapter 11.

Hopefully, all will work out well and they'll get back on their feet in some reorganized manner. For the time being, publications are still moving forward, although payments to creditors are going out in dribs and drabs. And, yes, we woodworking writers are considered creditors.

I just talked to their customer service, and the link from the magazine is not connected to the link where you enter (yet). I was given the link below to enter.

Just make sure you don't enter on May 25, when I want the Blue Spruce adjustable bevel...

The original link seems to have been fixed. I sent a couple of messages on Saturday to different places at Popular Woodworking, but clearly, whoever was responsible for that particular job took the weekend off.

And thanks, Sir William, but whoever wins the bevel should get to keep it. It's not like I really need another bevel (I won't post my total here, but I need both hands to count them).

I can still count all of mine on one hand, even if I include my Starrett protractor head, which will do much of the same job in a pinch. But, since one of them is an Economacki MT-2, I don't think I could get away with denying I have a bevel gauge "problem."
