center mount drawer guide question

This hexagonal drawer needs to have a center guide. I could probably rig side guides but that would require that these complicated to make dovetails came together to yield a drawer of predictable shape. It could happen 
. Alternatively, a center guide will accommodate what ever the resulting shape is.
I have never fashioned a center guide drawer. If someone has a picture of a quality arrangement I would be grateful to see it and any tips on construction.
(I don't want to hear about something metal purchased from a kitchen cabinet supply. I know about these and it ain't gonna happen on this piece)
