Ziracote allergic reaction

Friend had a severe allergic reaction. Thought it could be wood related. He had been doing a lot of work with oak and one small project with Ziracote. After avoiding wood dust for 2 months he tiptoed back to oak with no adverse effect. Has anyone heard of Ziracote causing allergic reaction?

Allergies/Toxicity: Ziricote has been shown to cause cross reactions once an allergic sensitivity to certain woods has been developed. Woods that can cause initial sensitivity include: Pau Ferro, Macassar Ebony, Cocobolo, and most rosewoods. See the articles Wood Allergies and Toxicity and Wood Dust Safety for more information.

What you found is interesting, though I don't understand how it works. I looked up this wood and my allergic reaction would be to the price. 
It is pretty though.

I don't see metopium toxiferum (poisonwood, Florida poisontree, or hog gum,) in the Wood Database list although the related metopium brownei (Chechen, Chechem, Black Poisonwood, Caribbean Rosewood) is there. Maybe the wood is not useful - does the tree get big?
I think I'll stay away from Sneezewood!
