Finish question??

I know I am taking a chance of open a can of worms but....
As I move towards the finishing not my curly maple dining room table top I am looking for a suggestion the final protective finish.
In the past I have used Old Masters Super Varnish ,which is oil base, and have appreciated bthe results. But this is quite hard to come by.
So I am open to ideas. I do want some Amber tone to the finish and I wouldn't mind a sprayable finish.

Aniline dye stain for the amber and Target Emtech 6000 on top.

Thanks Clint. But it appears to be "water white" and I would like a bit of amber.

Target EM800cv has a very light amber caste to it. Or, you could always add a drop or two of Transtint Amber to it.

Jim, that sounds intetesting. Being a cv is it repairable or refinishable done the line?

It has been many years since I last sprayed a finish, but the product I was using was Endurovar by General Finishes. It did add a bit of amber to the wood, which I though was very attractive. I found it to spray well. I was buying it from Jeff Jewitt at www.homesteadfinishingproducts.com.
