OT- Android Question

As a tech challenged individual I have started experimenting with the SD Card in both my Android tablet and phone. I have been successful transferring info via SD card from old tablet to new. And when I open File Manager I can see Internal Storage and SD Card.
But when I open File Manager on my phone I can only see SD Card. Some of my searching seems to indicate that the 2 are combined on a phone??
Any help would be appreciated!

Did you go into your "Settings", "General" "Accounts" and "AutoSynch" all your accounts?
When you log into your Google account everything that you have should appear on ant other new device.

I may not be describing the problem accurately. Maybe this will help. I went into Settings and when I look at Storage it appears the total GB is the combination of both Internal SD Card. But when I open File Manager it only shows the SD Card. But on my tablet it shows both Internal & SD.

It is a Blu Vivo One . I think the operating system is Android 7.1.1. Does that sound right?

I'm not familiar with that phone, but try check the following setting:
Menu > Settings > Device > Storage and see what the 'default' write disk is.
See if you can see the internal storage.
On my J3 when I inserted a SD card I can see both the internal and SD card when I open the My Files app.

Lee the Default write disk shows SD Card. The screen also shows the internal shared storage and how much is available. And it shows the SD Card and how much is used.

From your most recent post it would appear that both memory areas are there and all photos/documents are being stored on the SD card. Be aware that on most Samsung products, Apps cannot be stored on external memory such as SD cards. Therefore, as you add Apps to your phone they are all stored on the internal memory even though the default write is set to the SD card. As I understand it there is no way to change this.

Most, if not all, but I don't know about Samsung's restrictions, will allow some apps on a SD card but certainly not all. How the distinction is made I have no idea.
