What would you call this screw head?

This is one of the four screws holding the pad of an older Festool 5" sander.
The nearest I've found to a match is the "Slotted 6 Lobe Combo" shown in this chart:
This is just a curiosity at this point, as I've already removed them with a T15 driver.

All the illustrations appear to shade the recessed areas. That one only shades the slot.

I had to replace the vent cover on my show trailer last year. I spent a couple of hours finding a tool to fit the screws.
What ever happened to the phillips and flat screwdrivers?

This is how they expand the market for screw drivers. Everyone has several Phillips and slotted screw drivers so they need to invent new shapes. Expands the market for tooling to make the screws, as well.

Some shapes like torx and square are far more secure in the drivers, no chance of slipping. Like hex/allen but quicker to use since the bits are tapered.
Some aren't so new - I understand the torx was developed in the '60s. Some might be better for auto-loading drivers. I'm glad the torx is apparently now universal for deck screws rather than the square/philips combo that used to be everywhere.
But the variety can be a royal pain. In putting up a new deck I had to remove an 8" post fastener that a subcontractor installed. It looked like the T35 socket on my similar fasteners but was actually a spline bit, difficult to find except one came in each box of that type of fastener.
Years ago I bought a set of dozens of bits, some very specialized such as tamper proof torx and hex. Most I've never used but on occasion one is exactly what I need. One like this might be handy in the tool box: https://www.amazon.com/Titan-Tools-16148-148-Piece-Master/dp/B0023QTESS
