Clamp pads for Lee Valley bar clamps

Well in my case they were made by the company that invented them- Universal Clamp Company, now manufactured by Dubuque (spelling?) and sold by Lee Valley and others.
Son-in-law, a clever and creative person, manufactured these pads by additive manufacturing, AKA 3-D printing. The pads are too stiff for my purpose, but what he made was a dandy place to glue on a leather pad.
Why not glue the leather pad onto the clamp itself? These are multitaskers. For panel gluing I don't want pads. For cabinet assembly I do. Hence, the need for removable squishy pads.
Mr. Lee are you listening ? We would like to have clamp pads for these superior bar clamps. I asked Universal about making them and then Dubuque- to no avail.
