While you can buy all of that stuff for about $35, you'll spend about a million hours on it.
I have a Raspberry Pi, touch screen, and USB wireless mini-keyboard for a kitchen computer project I continue to put off. ;I still have to buy the Arduino temperature measuring hardware so that I can have multiple oven sensors connected at one time.
So really more of a startup than a DIY project.
