Help! I have a drum with a 3" Pulley that I want to turn at 1725 RPM and a motor that turns a 3450 RPM. What size motor Pulley do I need? 6"?

1.5" on the motor if it is a 3450 rpm motor

I think it will need to be about 1.5” just off the top of my head without doing any math

1.5 is small for most V belts and is likely to slip if your motors horsepower is over ½ HP.
You may want to move the 3 inch to the motor and get a 6 for the load.
This time your math was easy when you have something more complicated try this calculator.

I have a dozen or so pulleys, left behind by the previous owner of my home. He was a pretty serious woodworker. I have no use for them and would gladly give them to someone that has a use for them. I'm in okeechobee Florida. E mail me and I'll send you a picture.
