Staining turned furniture parts

Perfect staining results from perfect sanding. Perfect sanding on a turned furniture part is not so easy as flat pieces, partially because of my inexperienced turning skills. I needed to get the bun feet done and was loosing patience with getting all my torn grain sanded out. The torn grain will stain dark if the stain is applied in excess and wiped off. The solution was to spin the foot slowly and apply the stain with an air brush. Worked beyond my expectations.
