Nice version well executed.
For several decades I’ve collected military pilot badges. I thought your version looked vaguely familiar. I collect only pilot, but several nation’s Air Forces have badges for other air jobs. With Veterans Day celebrating WWI 100th anniversary, I thought I’d mention that in the early years that flight engineers and observers held a place equal to or of more importance in the flight experience to the pilot. Their badge version often feature crossed hammers or hammers and wrenches. In the US the Navy had a metalsmith badge, Netherlands, a Flight Engineer, Soviet Union, Flight crew and also Flight Engineer.
