Band saw Guides - Jet 14" ?

I've been using this band saw for almost 20 years or so. I've had Cool Blocks installed on it since almost day one, but never been thrilled with the fit. The issue is that they are too small for the holder and when I tighten them, they move all over the place. I glued veneer shims on them to help, but I never spent the time to get them perfect.
So anyway, I was just wondering what other folks have done. I wondered about the rollers thinking the fit wouldn't really matter. I've read pros and cons about those vs. the cost. These guides are a pin to adjust already - there are no adjustment screws on the bottom set. You just have to move them back and forth by hand - and then they move when tightened. Frustrating at times.
