Yahoo email problems

My wife uses Yahoo email. Some of her emails do not get through to her. This happens on her home PC as well as hey laptop. Yahoo has proposed to fix the problem for $150. Do any of you know what I can do to fix the problem myself?

We were on vacation and she tried to connect with Delta Airlines. She phoned them but what they were supposed to get to her did not. We have subsequently returned home and she opened a gmail account. She called Delta again and asked them to send an email. It got to the new account.

Her Yahoo account has probably been hacked. I can't imagine Yahoo trying to charge $150 to "fix" their own email. That is almost certainly a scam. Might try contacting Yahoo directly by phone or a different email address, but I would probably just stay with the gmail account
