Craftsman 12 Inch Bandsaw (Sander Capable) - Plus Roughed Out Bowls, Blanks, Logs

Selling a vintage, Emerson-era Craftsman 12" bandsaw (Model 113.243310) with its original 1/2 HP motor. Please note that while this is the dual sander/saw configuration model, it does NOT include the sanding platen attachment.

This machine has been completely torn down, deep-cleaned, tuned, and optimized for vibration-free cutting. Perfect for a woodturner or woodworker looking for a solid, reliable machine with zero setup required.

RECENT TUNE-UP & RESTORATION WORK:
• Custom Hand-Wheel: Upgraded with a shop-crafted 4" custom hickory tension hand-wheel (looks fantastic and gives excellent leverage).
• Upgraded Dust Port: Reengineered the missing factory port with a 2" PVC plumbing elbow, custom-fitted to the housing. It pressure-fits a standard shop vac hose perfectly. Brand new shop vac hose included!
• Precision Alignment: Original steel side guide blocks flipped to their completely fresh, unused factory faces for straight, crisp tracking.
• Vibration Control: Motor position lowered to achieve proper V-belt tension, eliminating standard old-saw vibrations.
• Table Prep: Cast aluminum table scrubbed and sealed with premium paste wax.Lubrication: Tires cleaned, wheel castings dressed, and tracking mechanisms dry-lubed with Tri-Flow with PTFE (won’t attract sticky sawdust).

WHAT’S INCLUDED:
• Fence System: Comes with the factory mounting rail installed. The fence is missing its original built-in locking handle, so I am including a vintage 1" Craftsman C-clamp to easily lock it down to the rail.
• The Safety Duck: Including my custom "tension reminder" rubber duck. Leave it on the saw when detensioned so you never accidentally start it with a loose blade!
• Circle-Cutting Jig: A shop-made jig designed to make cutting perfect, round bowl blanks incredibly easy and fast.
• PDF Owner’s Manual: Digital copy included for your files.
• 4 Premium Blades:
• (3) Shop Fox blades (1 @ 1/4" x 14 TPI and 2 @ 1/2" x 6 TPI), essentially unused with their original factory packaging.
• (1) Heavy-duty Powertec 1/2" x 3 TPI resaw blade. Practically brand new, with original packaging; only used twice to test-cut a 2x4. Ideal for resawing logs and roughing blanks.

THE TURNING STASH BONUS (PICK 3 OR 4 ITEMS):
• Seasoned Rough-Out Bowls: Several rough-turned ash or American elm bowls that have been drying/seasoning in my shop for 10 years. Ready to mount on your lathe and finish-turn immediately with minimal risk of warping.
• Premium Fresh Mulberry Logs: Straight sections and crotch sections (prized for flame/feather grain). Diameters range from 9-1/2" to 11-1/2" (measured inside the bark) and lengths up to 21". All end-sealed.
• Kiln-Dried Flat Stock: 6/4 kiln-dried, quarter-sawn white oak boards (perfect ray fleck for platters/plates).
• Spindle Blanks: End-sealed blanks for tool handles, lidded boxes, or small urns.

NOTE: I can provide a set of isolation pads and glides/leveling feet if you need them for your shop floor. Please bring a vehicle with plenty of cargo space for the saw, heavy log sections, and dried bowls!
