SPECIAL GALLERY: JERRY BEALL

A sampling of work by an inventive master technician. A sampling of work by an inventive master technician.

SHOP OWNER: Jerry Beall LOCATION: Newark, OH

EDITOR'S INTRODUCTION

Jerry Beall is probably best known for his wood-threading apparatus, which uses a V-shaped router cutter to cut threads in wood with incredible precision and with the least amount of damage to the wood fibers. For that invention, the woodworking world owes him a debt of gratitude. But, Jerry has invented many other time-saving devices and accessories for woodworkers as well. Many of these may be found in his latest catalog, which I'm sure he'd send you if you care to e-mail him. (Click on his name above.)

Besides being an inventor and an entrepreneur, Jerry is a first-rate craftsman in his own right, in both metal and wood. He's one of those "engineering types," for whom nothing is too complicated. The gallery on these pages reflects some of the immense inventive talent that he has brought to the craft of woodworking. It is my pleasure to present, for the benefit of WoodCentral visitors, a brief but revealing glimpse into the exquisite workmanship of a good friend, Jerry Beall.
