TABLE BIRDS

Capable carvings on stately stands.

LOCATION: Gilbertsville, KY

Here are a couple of bird carvings and a couple of tables, not necessarily intended to go together. At left is a picture of a Canada goose that I carved and my wife Mary painted with oils. I made the little cherry table for a specific place at the left of my chair, to hold my coffee cup and provide a shelf for all my woodworking magazines and catalogues.

The photo at right shows male and female American Kestrels (Sparrowhawks) posed on an old telephone pole. I copied the walnut table design from an antique lamp table.
