Mini-review of the Mulecab Rip Fence

Overall, I like this fence. It has 3 slots on front, top and back which are great for attaching things such as a router fence, dust collection, short fence, sacrificial fence, tall fence, board buddies etc.

Some things to think about. The rail the fence rides on is aluminum, and unlike steel, it will conform to any irregularities in the face of the table saw to which you are attaching it. You MUST make sure that the saw's wings are perfectly aligned on the front face, or you must shim.

When using it as router fence, the back does not lock, and there is some flex in it.

Some people hate the fact that it uses a twist knob to lock. 1/3 of a turn and it is locked or unlocked. I personally love it.

Four bolts lock the fence to the rail guide - see last photo - and make aligning the fence a PITA, because when they are tightened they actually pull it out of alignment. I find I have to put it out about 13 thou and then let them pull it back. Usually takes me a couple of tries but no big deal.

It has served me well and is good value for the price.
