Wax but Wait

On new finishes, I use a wax with a little color to it, so that it registers color in the imperfections and not white. But, I wait for a month before doing it. Many, if not most, waxes have a vehicle (thinner) that will have a tendency to soften your oiled finish if not fully cured.
