Turning

Subject:
Need more workshop space

Ron Borowicz
I have stored once turned bowls in my shop where I keep the temperature at least above 50 degrees. These bowls have been sealed and were rough turned anywhere from 1 day to 10 years ago. I have in excess of 200 and have been stacking them on shelves so I can easily find my next project. I am looking for additional space in my shop and am considering moving them to the "general" area of my barn. I live in Wisconsin and the "general" area of my barn is almost always below freezing during winter months. Do you think I can store them in the "general" area of my barn without encouraging cracking? Also, in the summertime the "general" are of my barn can be 10 to 20 degrees cooler than outside and somewhat damp. Your thoughts? Thanks.
