My skew chisels all have sharp 90 degree angles between the narrow edges and the sides. After repeatedly making narrow V cuts or squaring cuts fully perpendicular to the lathe axis, there will be little nicks in my cast iron tool rest I have to file out. In "The Practice of Woodturning" book, Mike Darlow says those sharp corners should be slightly rounded or the edges made semi-circular to the sides.
Do you ease or make semi-circular your skew chisel long corners? If so, how? My 180 grit grinding wheel would seem too aggressive for this, and I am not in a position to buy CBN wheels.
