Dick -- $17k is a lot of money. But, it is an industrial grade machine. I certainly wouldn't buy one for making bowls. However, take a look at some of the spindles that they make using the rotary attachment! If I were a custom mill shop, I wouldn't have a hard time justifying getting one of their CNCs.
