>I know of two trees in the eastern hardwood forest that have a whitest sap. You can pull a leaf off the tree and during most of the growing season you can see white, milk colored sap, latex, on the end of the leaf stem. There are probably more trees that have this latex sap. I use this as a positive ID for some trees.
