...the summary of what happened struck me as something where I wonder if there are other opportunities of the same type. That is, longaberger baskets aren't the rage that they were 30 years ago, but there's still folks who would buy them. The idea that someone with QVC connections would be valuable makes sense (the demographic still watching QVC probably ties in with buyers of longaberger baskets. QVC is kind of an odd solid niche where people aren't looking for top market items, but they're looking mid market and aren't as price sensitive).

The whole crafty trend (buying crafty stuff vs.making crafty stuff as is popular now) seems to have taken a big hit.

(oh my, columbus dispatch has a youtube segment on the company - I never saw the basket building before it's impressive! - but they had 8200 employees at one point!!!)
