after thinking of that..

.i figured it was toast or maybe someone may be running with the name overseas, but I was wrong. I looked it up on ebay and there is a link to the website which said that they're still being made in ohio, and that someone had bought the brand and revived it (without knowing much, it looks like someone savvy at getting the baskets into qvc and selling them through social media instead of B/M and word of mouth as they were in the 1980s and 1990s).

They look much the same, prices still in line with what they would've been with inflation. It's kind of nice to see that they're still in business.

Never saw the factory, but like the roadside architecture twist (grew up near the haines shoe house and york barbell with the weightlifter on a roof or sign- can't remember which).

The interesting thing about old pictures is how uncommon they are on google vs. the gazillions of pictures taken since cameras started taking pictures.
