Yeah, none of that made sense to me and I've used many different word processing programs going way back to one I wrote myself in the 70s. It would seem that "zero" spacing would mean that each line would be printed over the line before. A way to save paper but not much good for reading. I'm hoping that the OP means single-spaced as it was in typewriter days.
