sharpened off of the washita - there's a little bit of chromium in it or something. It's not harder than the 26c3 chisel, but it's a little bit more slick on a washita.

The damage was shallower on the ward, the feel similar. It's just a slightly better chisel than I can make yet when the malleting gets a bit more brisk than it should be. (again, typical damage and then a clearer section)

Strangely, this chisel has a soft corner. I have no idea why. I've used these chisels a little bit on the past, but not heavily. I used them enough to realize that they'd be sold way later than most anything else I have on hand.

Here's what happens to the soft corner (eek). You could feel the burr where this rolled over almost immediately, but I didn't spare the rod. It's only about 1.5mm of the 1/2 inch chisel and I just worked the maple with this bit hanging on the waste side so that it didn't have to do as much work.
