yes, 26c3. I think all of these alloy numbers will be meaningless to most, but it's the only really high carbon steel available in the US that's relatively plain.

52100 touching 1-1.15% depending on the maker is maybe the next closest, but the added small amount of chromium does odd things to its toughness. It's like the opposite of the dry feel that you get with certain steels.
