>I understand that in typical furniture situations you go- with the grain with either pumice or r-stone but what about with turnings? I realize that wood is wood but since a lot of the finishes we use are applied on the lathe with the piece spinning I wonder if it is appropriate to use these on a spinning lathe as well.
