Re: Micro motor recommendation *LINK*

I used a Champion for a while and it failed. I took the cover off the control unit and saw a fried component on the control board and replaced it. My cost was about $1.30 at the time but soldering skills, minimal, were required.

Before I had time to do the troubleshooting I bought a Ram 45 Micromotor from Greg Dorrance (no affiliation... just a satisfied customer) and use it almost daily with the Champion as a reserve. They both use the same handpiece.

If there is someone near you with a Champion or a Ram 45 then you should be able to determine if it's the control or the handpiece.

There are other retailers of the Ram micromotor ... just google it if you decide to go that way.
