Re: Moving Nova lathes - recommendations

Our club moves a Jet 1642 with two of the small, carpet covered furniture dollys with four casters each, like this one:

Slide the tailstock down close to the headstock and pick up that end and put it on one dolly, then slide things the other way and pick up that end. Rolls easily then.

I'm not familiar with the Nova 1642 but if the headstock doesn't slide, I'd probably pick up that end first.
