In Alaska, before I ever bought a lathe I started collecting other turner's work. I got to thinking that I knew nothing at all about what happened to any of the Alaska turners represented in my collection. Does anyone have a clue about these: R. E. Karling (from somewhere down on the panhandle), Rollin Lowenstein (from the Fairbanks area), B. Espen (Alaska but I don't remember where specifically), and Steven C. Evans (Alaska somewhere or other)? I suspect that at least the first must have passed on my now since the gallery owner where I bought his pieces said that he was extremely elderly at the time and that was 20+ years ago. Any information would be appreciated.
