I responded to the comment about needing to stop plane on this forum. Charlesworth "guaranteed" that if a flat edge were then planed five or ten times it would develop a "bump" as he called it, and no longer be flat. As it happened, I was joining two boards, and I got them so there was no light between them when stacked up. I planed one board ten times: nothing. I planed the edge a hundred times, put the two edges together: no light not .001 inches anywhere. So much for the guarantee.
