Subject:
moving fillister repair? *PIC*

ken ca
I picked up this moving fillister recently, not a collectible - just a user. The boxing has a chip out of it just behind the mouth. The OCD in me wants to sacrifice one of my lesser planes and use a piece of boxwood to repair the fillister. I guess the ship is about 1/8" in the direction of the blade (or "iron" if you prefer).

Anyone tried grafting in a small piece of boxwood? Is it worth it? Does it glue? Should I just leave it?
