Bill Tindall, E.Tn.
This used to be the largest of the beech on one of our timber tracts. There is more than 500 bdft in the trunk up to the first limb. It's a monster. I hate beech as they are worthless and shade out a lot of real estate that a good timber tree might occupy. The loss is a mixed blessing. It fell across a logging road and obliterated a key access trail we used for hunting. It will be a job to whack passage through it. It is too far from a road to retrieve for firewood.
