Fixing up an S18

CJ in MPLS
I have lucked out in that my mother likes to buy tools for me. This can be an interesting thing. Sometimes I'm looking at an old drawer repurposed into an open top box that is fully of random parts. Other times she brings home a complete S18 block plane. I am looking at the latter just now.

As it happens I already have a Stanley 18 block plane, the cast iron one. The S18 is a cool addition to the tool box, but needs to be reconditioned. The biggest and perhaps only problem with the S18 is that the sides have been been bent out a bit. I expect that the sides had a tendency to bend in and the problem was fixed with prejudice. While usable as is, I'd like to get the sides back to a rectilinear shape. Any thoughts?
