I am not in the category of people who fusses over things like dovetails, though, obviously, there is nothing wrong with that chest.
I posted pictures of "authentic" handsome dovetails on here a few years ago, pictures that I had taken from my parents' furniture when I was home visiting them. All of their items have come from Gettysburg/New Oxford, and while they were not furniture made for royals, they were quite nice (the proportion was lovely). When I posted them here, the response was that they were "sloppy". Modern looking perfect dovetails with fat sided drawers were held up as better.
I'd take the old ones as better - the lines and proportions were just that - better..more appealing. The seaton chest saws are not only perfectly executed - or near it - but they have the proportion and lines set up in a way that would be difficult to improve.
