Skew chisels are for clearing the corners of half-blind sockets. I find them far less useful than a fishtail chisels. The latter is simply pushed into the corner, while the skew needs to be used with a slice.
I've ground fishtail chisels, but my favourite is a 1/4" Blue Spruce (you only need one) ...
