Note first para of description and also the very 440C-ish composition. Also keep in mind that this *is* PM-V11 as far as any of us that have run XRF on it can tell :-)
It's basically 440C with tweaked composition to allow for higher maximum hardness (Rc64, though LV uses it at Rc62.5) and PM to provide drastically finer microstructure. It's a really nice steel for both knives and edge tools IMO. Some of the exotic PM steels with higher Vanadium are more abrasion-resistant, but they're also difficult to sharpen (and impossible on your setup).
