Thanks Don. As to consistency, The advice I'm hearing in this thread points to a thicker consistency than I am used to on larger sawn-veneer glue-ups. I do like a heavy consistency on smaller surfaces, and especially where fast tack is. Important. I can recall making a complicated banding for a Federal type piece, and the fast tack combined with hemostats for dipping the parts made it go very quickly.
Your advice of 'get heat on it' jibes with Todd's.
